Default RE: Super Bandit getting squirted

Doug, looking fwd to seeing the Cali Crew and your upgraded Bandit at BITW. Nick's going to CA Jets with his Corona Bandit....any chance of you pulling some strings and getting some Corona babes to pose with it??

Jeremy, I had (RIP) a classic composite Bandit. The speedbrake had a couple of pieces of ply reinforcement but was basically directly hinged to the fuselage and wasn't removeable other than by pulling the pins on the hinges. The servo mounts were the hardwood blocks Hysol'd to the lower fuse skin. The "new" method seems to be quite the improvement.

Nick, good thinking. There is no subsitute for power when you need it (like a go around) and you can always throttle back. Careful about over-G'ing it, remember you've a BALSA Bandit and I'm thinking the composite Bandit wings (skin laminate layup: CF sheet inner ply, balsa core, glass outer ply) are stronger. Not sure about where the B-ARF wing strength fits in there as it's wing layup seemed "funky".

Regards,

Jim
