hey,, at 8oz I came up with

4.5% oil,

2.5% Nitro,

and 1/2 gas and 1/2 glow..

Jim
Jim, What is the ratio of oil at 4.5%? Would it be close to 5/100 or 5 parts of oil to 100 parts of fuel? I am trying to learn this math stuff...it may take a while for me! Capt,n
Here's the math again:
2parts at 18% +2 parts at 0% makes 4 parts at 9%
add 4 parts at 3%, that makes a total of (9+3)/2=6% oil

Other method:
2 oz at 18% = .36 oz oil
4 parts at 3% = .12 oz oil

total .48 oz oil, divide by 8 oz fuel = .06 (times 100% makes 6% oil or 1/16)

P.S.
The gas in the mix makes for easy starting in the cold. I am surprised that the mix worked at all and did not gel or separate.
That engine looks as if it just begs for RC operation, if you reduce the long prop overhang that makes the shaft wobble.

We have -20°C right now, so I can use my time for some nice fema starter projects
