A little history first : Last year I grabbed a Deere 3E backpack blower off the curb hoping to fix it and resell, Anyway once I got it home and took a good look at it I determined it was not worth fixing. ( broken main housing, pull start missing pieces, ect.) Thinking of conversions, came the hammer so I could "disassemble" the blower and keep the engine for a future project. Recently I got a deal on a Stingray 120 for cheap. So now my conversion will have a home.
From the info I can find, I have a Kioritz 30.8 cc engine, it weighs in a 3 lb 14oz as it sits without the muffler. It looks like I can drop quite a bit of weight off of it so, and depending on what kind of power it makes, I think I'm off to a good start. It has a 2 ring piston, WA162 walbro carb, my caliper says it's a 11.08mm bore. I think It may be a reverse rotation engine (can't remember how it was oriented when I pulled it apart

), but with a spacer I can flip the flywheel and run it as a standard rotation engine. I'll post some pictures this evening.
Anyone seen of done one of thse before?
