I really hate to put a damper on ya but check your stroke.If you have around a 24mm stroke with that bore your going to end up with 22cc.I had 2 echo engines from blowers that looked identical to those.I sold them to j.romine who sells conversion engines here on rcu.Long time ago.
Anyway,for the ccs they are heavy but doable on cubs,ect...And you are right,they are CW rotation as pictured.I spent some time converting it,also making a rail mount out of aluminum angle iron that bolted to the holes on side of engine.I spent an hour with a rope starter and electric starter trying to get it to start.To no avail,because like you i forgot with way it was turning befor i converted it.
Then it dawnd on me to try the other directiion and it started first try.
Anyway,check your stroke to make sure of the ccs before you do a lot of work on an engine for a plane it wont work on.
I hope its a 30cc for ya.I could be wrong on the ccs though.But mine looked identical.
