Hey Dave,
Movie hasn't arrived yet my friend but i called Doug at action hobby yesterday and we had good 40mins conversation of his 2 Arrow's compared to mine. He used 2 Byron fans with OS77s on this 37lbs models and flew them quite nicely for the movie shoot. He built 2 Arrow models at 1:8 scale, one crashed but other is in a museum somewhere in Canada. I will be following his directions for set up of propulsion system in my model, this means both fans have to be moved back under then fis at 6 degree upward angle!, this angle has to do with delta wing and moving engines and fans back was to keep the weight consistent. He had two metal tin cans as fuel tanks with 1 gallon of fuel in both tanks!.
Over the past vacation i did some more work on the model, fixed the cut on the wing body joint, still bit to be done. Stripped the pain off from forward fuselage, filled and scribed correct cockpit window lines as original mould had trenches like panel lines on it. Took all of the old plastic covering off from the top of the wings, cut none off and fixed the correct 4 degree downward angle, still not re-glued as yet. Also made mods of the spine with air conditioning air exit nozzle.
Looked in to making scale struts with functional oles for fixed gears. So there it is so far.
