Well its prety obvious they didnt do there homework. the Tuskege airmen used the p51 B model, it has the turtle deck canopy. the model they produced is the bubble canopy. Now I not sure if the airmen ever used the Bubble canopy plane,
It's for sure they flubbed on the pilot's color, but like chashint said.........
However, the Airmen flew 3 models of the P-51, the B, C, and D. I couldn't find when they transitioned to the -D model from the -C. They actually started out in P-40's, flew them from April '43 to June '44. They flew P-39's from March to May '44, and transitioned to P-47's during the summer of '44, and then to the Mustang.
