Doesn't moving the cg forward cause the plane to pull harder to the canopy in up and down lines as nose heavy makes you add up elevator trim.

You'd think so, but the problems are separate issues. I've got the CG in the right spot for inverted flight at this position, and it did help the pull to canopy a bit. The pull to canopy will be solved with reduction in wing incidence (currently +2), and then I'll have to find the right stab incidence (currently almost +4).
