I am not really new to the sport but i am just getting back into it...I fly an Hangar 9 F22 so called trainer anyway it flies pretty good i think....I was curious what is the fastest wind speed you guys would sugest not to fly in...is it ok to fly in 10 to 20 mph....
Thanks
Unfortunately, most people dramatically over estimate wind speed. People fly successfully in winds up to 25 mph at my field with out a problem. I suggest that you can fly in windy consditions as long as you are
somewhat comfortable. Once it becomes work it's time to quit. I agree with the majority; start easy and practice, practice and don't fight the wind, let it make the turns for you. It wouldn't hurt to have an experienced pilot with you in case you get in over your head.
Try not to get into the habit of saying to yourself "Oh, it's XX mph, so I'm not flying today".
Happy Landings!
