Default RE: Super Star will shine

Ok so got the building out of the way, time to cover. We have two of these birds at our club so a colour change was in the wind. Also the pilot supplied is a bit too cool or ..... I don't know but see what you think of the new pilot. It's Australia day next weekend so TWO DAYS of flying for the boys, you got love that. We will re madian next weekend. That's a Super Tiger 3250 in the front swinging a 18x6 prop. Final weigh in was 5.25kg. Don't know what that is in pounds. The manual recons 4 - 4.5 kgs so rebuild as added 750 grams , but some of that should be attributed to the motor. I think the power to weight will be alright, will find out and let you know.
Hey just putting it out there, is there a inherant weak point in the fuse just the front wings????????? I also have a 300xs Extra 72" with a snapped back ( same place ). Thats the next project. This happened on landing. It was really hard to get rid of ground speed and the extra just wanted to run. Tried to turn it on the ground as the fence was coming up, lifted off dropped a wing then caught and cartweeled. I know planes are not meant to with stand ground contact of that sort, but have had two planes let go at the same point, so just posing the question ????????
