What's wrong with making a few assumptions given the derth of information provided??

He stated S&R needs, which normally requires searching out of the line of sight, hence UAV...
He posted in a beginners forum with no knowledge of restrictions nor camera requirements, hence "beginner".
Ergo, he's a beginner asking a question about UAV type craft with an S&R bent...
Again, you ASSUMED the search object was to be out of line-of-sight (often not the case in real life, just not easily detectable by the naked eye) and ASSUMED he knows nothing of restrictions or camera requirements. He is
apparently a beginner at Infra-Red though. Some of your assumptions may bear fruit but are not based upon facts in evidence in the original post.
But enough speculation.
