I'm planning on breaking in my LRP Spec 3 Truggy. I'm new to the whole 1/8 scale and nitro scene.
In the manual it says that the needle settings should be 3,75 turns. When you give a number for needle settings do you mean turns-in or turns-out? I think you need to tighten the screw and screw it 3,75 turns-out, like the manual says.
But 3,75 turns(-out) seems very rich, right? I know every engine is different and has other settings to run well, but what are the standard needle settings for an .28 engine? And if you want to break the engine in, how many turns out (from the normal settings) do you need to turn the HSN? I think the manual give these rich settings so newbies will automatically run their engines rich..
But thanks
Id suggest watching some videos on you tube of people breaking in engines so you can hear the right sound of a rich engine. Also helps to know what to expect.
