RE: Fsone
yea, it's ok but very limited heli selection. plus it takes forever when you change helis or airfield. i usually fly the 50 size heli (forgot the model name). the trex in the expansion pack is just way too twitchy. actually seems more difficult than the real thing. however, the 50 size helis seem to fly more similar to my 550 size hurricane. there is probably a way to adjust for more realistic flight if you take the time figure it out (i did not take the time).
i have FS one, real flight (ver 3.5) and phoenix. phoenix is by far the best and most accurate; plus i use my own transmitter. realflight 3.5 is actually easier to fly that the real thing. haven't spent much time with ver 4.5 - just a demo in the hobby shop. i rarely use fs one since it is so clunky to use and limited heli selection plus no heli or plane downloads like in real flight. but since you already have fs one, make the best of it. it is not a bad simulator. as other said, it is about 1000 time better than nothing. it will help you learn to fly and save you from SOME (but not all) crashes.
no sales pitch but if you do decide to get a different simulator in the future, you should check out phoenix. you have to order from england, however, i ordered last sunday evening and it was delivered to my door on wednesday. shipping worked out to be around $10 (7 pounds?). not bad at all for an international order. plus, i hear all future upgrades are free and downloadable. it does not come with a transmitter but does come with a cable for your own transmitter.
have fun,
