Default Servo Advice / Help

Hi all,

I'm new to RC buggies and got an Ansmann Vapour Kit for Crimbo. I've built the buggy and got it running ok except the servos seem a bit dodgy. I got an Acoms Techniplus radion kit along with buggy which includes 2 Acoms AS-17 servos. At first all was working ok but I was getting a lot of glitching but at least the steering and throttle servos both worked. It took me a while to get the throttle set up so it just ticked over to get engine run in. When I had the buggy sitting on box ticking over the steering was working fine but when I sat it on ground for its first run the steering servo didnt work and insnt working now even if I lift the wheels off ground. When I first turn on the Radio gear the servo moves so this rules out any loose connections. I have also noticed the servos have a mind of there own sometimes this happened even when the buggy is not running with just the radio gear switched on, I have the antenna fully extended, and I am away from any other potential signals that could be interfering so what else could be causing this?

I googled these servos but cant find any reviews etc but I have noticed they are one of the cheapest around so my question is, are they any good?
Is it normal for a servo to "pack in" so quickly?
Can anyone recommend another servo I could buy at a reasonable price?
How can I stop glitching? Is this down to cheap servos?

Sorry for all the questions but like I say I'm new to this

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Cheers
