HELLO.
I bought a VANGUARD FM 4/6 Channel Radio ( 72 MHz ) control kit ( never used ) from a friend and now I am looking for a beginner electric flight plane to match up with it. It has four servo's and the receiver module etc. so basically I just need the plane. I'm new at this and I would like some advise on choosing the correct plane. Or, would I be better off selling this radio and buying a complete plane with controller?
thank you
Are you an experienced pilot who is new to electrics, or are you a new pilot. Big difference in what I recommend.
Are you looking for a Ready to fly, an ARF or a kit?
If I am right, Vanguard is an old radio. Chances are the servos and receiver are standard size. They will be too large for the parkflyer class planes. So if you get something small you will need micro servos and micro receiver. In addition you will need batteries and charger. Do you have any of this stuff?
I am going to assume you are a brand new pilot who is going to try and learn on his own, without help. You have a total budget of about $200 - $300. I will assume that the radio gear you bought will be too big.
Here are my recommendations for RTF packages:
Easy Star - my #1 recommended plane for new self training pilots

So, did I peg you right, or do you have experience and a larger budget?
