RE: NitroRCX
I've had my 1/10 Exceed HyperSpeed for about a month now and I've got nothing but good things to say about it. I stripped one main gear so far but that was my own fault. The pull start broke on my last time out which Andy is going to replace for free. (although I already ordered another one) That wasn't my fault though. It was easy to turn over and she fired right up but then the cord snapped. O well. I know these RC's aren't ment for hardcore bashing but I've also read threads where people are putting them through hell and have had no problems.
I myself just use it for something to drive around and have fun. No big jumping and what not. Parts are cheap and support is great. Being that Exceed, Himoto, and RedCat are all the same, parts can be found all over the net. I order from Exceedrc.com which is in Cali. I'm in Jersey and have my parts in 4 days. Can't complain about that.
As for the sh motors, I've heard nothing but good things about them. I've also been told that they are amazing compaired to the VX series and for that reason I'm going to buy a SH .18 for my buggy. They are such a hot seller that RedCat is out of stock at the moment. So that's gotta tell you something. For duarability, I've read that if your going to bash these RC's to go with the 1/8 because they hold up a lot better than the 1/10's.
Before buying my buggy I read as much as possible about them and found that the stock radio systems aren't something you want to run. So I ordered new Traxxas waterproof servo's and another Futaba receiver to use with my Tx. Also bought a Ofna fail-safe, which all has worked out great since I've had it. This summer I'm looking to go 1/8 and get the Razor
