well, if you don`t mind having a extra radio I would reccomend E-flites Apprentice, I have one and I must say its great, the apprentice usually sells around $300 but thats not too bad considering its a complete ".40" size plane, I don`t know if the Vanguard is a computer radio or anything like that but if you ask my opinion sometimes you just can`t have too many TX`s and RX`s
