The type of glow driver is an Expert brand. I spent some more time "experimenting" and discovered that it is the wire size of the battery connections that was limiting the current. After I used 14 ga wire from the battery to the driver, the glow plug lite up nice and "red". I did not really need to use the glow driver, but if you are planning to go EI, it is another option that performs as good as EI and you still keep the advantages of gas/glow. Its what this hobby is all about!
