Default RE: Top flite Cessna 182 Servo location

Hi Guys

I havent been building much. Im testing epoxy+fiberglas covering on samples. I ordered some epoxy in germany from R&G but i ordered the wrong hardener. I got the one who for laminating 15mm pieces. It need 24 H normal curetime and then baked 15 H at 60 degrees. I talked to R&G who said that when used for these thin layers we use for covering with fiberglass it might cure normally, but it then needs ALOT more time to cure. So i made 2 samples now. One that it sitting by the heather in the livingroom at a higher temp than normal. I made that one yesterday at 1900 H. The surface is now non sticky and semi hard. Ill check again at 1900 when it had 24 H curetime.

Today i made a sample and placed it at normal temp. about 20-22 degrees. that one has cured 24 H tomorrow at 1400 H.

I really hope it works out, else i have to order new hardener from Germany... shipping is expensive... []

Paul.. ure right.. that strut makes it look sooo good...

Alan.. post pictures of the covering progress.... like to see the work others do... gives me inspiration ..
