You most have been running the O'Donnell R2R blend which does have to much oil but there Race blend is good fuel. I think Blue Thunder changed their fuel and it might be OK now but it sure use to be poor but not sure about it now. Many fuel manufactures have more then one blend so brand is not the only thing to look at but all so what blend. Any fuel with more then 12% oil content is too much.
