one little note on how to tell if a waco classic is a "classic" model or a "super" model. the "Super" has a balanced rudder and the "classic" does not. there are also many other sublte changes to the design - most made to enhance ground handling. Changes include a lower landing gear stance and slightly longer fuse lenght. The classic model was phased out after the first 50 or so "new" Waco's. The balance of new aircraft fall under the "super" model. To date I beleive they are around s/n 130 - indicating there are 130 waco classic aircraft.

There are quite a number of these design changes which I could probably quantify if there is enough intrest.
