No, When i would try to accelerate after idle the gear would start to slip and then just dident go any ware, but the gear was melted you could tell by what was left of it
what happened is you didn't have the slipper tightened down enoug, so when you hit the gas it just slipped, and the friction between the spacer and the gear eventually melted the gear.
edit: Does the tornado have a slipper on it or is it the older style two speed?
