Never weighed mine, but I can tell you that the OS 46 LA hauls it around easy, and that is not a strong engine. It is a great trainer plane. I am not a beginner, but I love to fly this plane for pure relaxation. I like to zip around making circles about 10' off the deck. Since I got mine, at least three beginners got it at my club's field since they know it can last them quite awhile if they don't total it first. Jon
