OK this might be a long round about way of asking a question but here it goes. I plan on eventually saving for a Tamiya full option w/IR either a Tiger 1 or a KT. I have a heng long tiger with a blown rx13 board (naturally), my question is, drum roll please, I want to get this thing running and I know its all about money, should I go Elmod and run the HL electronics, full elmod and try to configure it with a 2.4ghz transmitter, because that is what I want to buy when I get the Tamiya. Or be happy getting the low cost route and going with the rx18 kit with flash from rccommand and 3:1 gearbox, recoil, and dbc/dbu. Now I know this is a lot to take in, that is why my head is going to explode. Just looking for some feedback and opinions. To go elmod looking at 300+, the other route gearbox $50 rx18 kit $50 assembled dbc/dbu $140 recoil $10 so I'm looking at $250+. I love the sound of the elmod, oh yeah ad 110 to elmod for their sensor. And I know the new dbc/dbu can be bought to use 2.4ghz. Wondering if its worth it, to upgrade. Like I said just looking for opinions on what would you do. I know there is no clear answer but I am driving myself nuts. And to make matters worse Impact is having a new system come out.
