No, but I did mount a hot dog with extra relish on my elevator once to no avail. Made a terrible mess. I fear that meat products wrapped in bread won't help out. Seriously though, a gyro might help on both the elevator and rudder to prevent a catastrophy. My experience with gyros is to get ones with radio controlled, adjustable sensitivity, otherwise you'll experience "hunting" for center at high speeds.
