I just upgraded from a BCPP to a Trex and am having a couple of issues. The tail is solid in the air and does not drift of wag, but on the ground the tail servo is continuously jittering. Is this normal? The gyro is a 401 with a JR3400 servo. The other issue i'm having is a lot of glitching, both on the ground and in flight. While hovering the motor will periodically cut out for a half of second, then continue on like nothing happened. On the ground everything is glitchy. The servos have a mind of there own and the motor even powers up for a half a second periodically. I am using an FM system, I have considered purchasing a 2.4 ghz system, but i'm not sure if the radio is the cause of all the glitching. Any ideas on these issues would be greatly appreciated!!!!
First...FM is crap, causes a lot of probs that don't exist with the 2.4 gHz systems. As matter of fact. I would say the cut-outs and jitters are being caused by your radio system or possibly a bad servo or two some place. Your antenna should be way clear of the ESC and gyro, both will cause glitches, etc. The probs you're having is exactly why I dumped my Hi-Tec RCD Eclipse 7 and went to a DX7, never looked back.
