You can change the angle of the propeller. Tip it up and the boat will plane better, but bounce more. Does the prop have any knicks in it or rough edges? Might cause the prop to cavitate. Start of at a slower speed then ramp it up might help. I have had little problems with mine. One thing I suggest you get is the water cooling kit though to keep temps down.
