Enjoy the hobby, and don't make a major project of installing hinges. Once you've done them, and done them right, you will see that all this was worth while and not really rocket science.

I did my first set of hinges when I was assembling my 4*60, and was a bit intimidated by it, mostly because it was the first time having done them. After reading through some of the instructional information here and other places, and following them to the letter, it turned out to be no big deal. As you said, it's not rocket science.

I felt the same way the first time I had to do a covering repair. It's not the most beautiful job, but it's OK.

It's amazing the amount of information one can find here, and on other similar boards, and the folks here are more than willing to explain things to first timers. It's been a huge help for me.
