I think toughness and reliability are in the Savage's favor - electric, or nitro..

I asked this same question three years ago, and was overwhelmingly advised to get the E-zilla at that time. Which I did.. I sold it though cuz electric just isn't for me..

Only advantage of the E-MAXX is that it looks better(and is slightly bigger..) The plastic is all the same as the T-MAXX though, right? So breakage is still most likely a concern...
