Let me know how that goes, as I understand the 370 motors need replacing before too long. I got confirmation this morning thet my Big Lama has SHIPPED!
Hey again Bob,
I can tell you up to a point now - due to not being able to complete my rocket[

I removed the pinions off the BL motors as I took them out, one at a time, with a pinion-puller (wow, what a great invention that is), removed the pinions from the Xtreme motors by undoing the "grub screw" (I think in USA you call them "set screws"). Then pushed the lined up pinion onto the Xtreme shaft with a bench-vice (with softjaws) to provide uniform pressure - doing the vice up s-l-o-w-l-y!
The wires to the Xtreme motors are slightly short so if you are good with a soldering iron I suggest you replace the wires with the original Esky ones removed from BL. I re-routed the rear motor wire to the left side of the axis and it just made the distance!
Mounting them within the chassis is more fiddly. I used the original screws. For the rear one, I found that I had to line up the holes in the fuse with the actual motor holes to screw into - and all this while the motor was plugged in with a stretched wire nearly to its "extreme" (pun intended) point. And before you even think it, no, it was the other (fore) motor that was dead when I had finished mounting it inside the chassis - so it was nothing that I did to kill it!

The fore motor was easier to screw into its chassis holes, because I had already done one and knew what to expect, and the wire doesn't have to be stretched to reach 3in1s motor inputs. That is when I plugged in motors ready to try it before replacing fuse and blades, but one was dead. Sorry that I can't tell you how it flies - I suspect it would have really good torque and would just leap up - I will have to wait for a week 'till my replacement from Michael arrives..........It's great knowing a salesman that stands behind his products 100%
Peter
P.S. I've nearly finished my Dauphin painting now - haven't done a clear top coat yet!
UPDATE: I just tried it again this morning and both motors are working now... That
is wierd! But the bad news is that the fore motor mixing on
my 3in1 is not working now! So I will have to order one of those instead.
