Yes, this is a 40 MHZ FM TX/RX. Ground Frequency. Your frequencies in the US are different to ours here in the UK/Europe I believe.
In the Futaba instruction manual it states that in the UK this system is classed as BA (cars and model boats only) with a frequency from 40.666 MHz to 40.995.
The RX/TX crystals I am using are a matched pair 40.695 MHz so they conform.
In Germany (according to the manual) this TX/RX is rated at FBA (All models) with a Frequency from 40.675 MHz to 40.695. The very frequency that I'm using. after that the rating is BA (cars and model boats only) from 40.715 to 40.985 MHz. There are twelve 10MHZ gaps between 40.715 and 40.985.
Although I did not purchase my TX/RX from them. you can see at this link that this Futaba 4YF is used here in the UK with the Tamiya RC Tanks.
