This was some time ago, but its a 3mm rod, I have now changed to the H9 Titianium turnbuckles, I think they are called Pro Links, they are as light, but far more convenient to use, with a left hand thread on one end and right on the other the centre adjustment hexagon makes any fine trimming very easy.
