Ok, there alot of New 50CC class Engines out there with alot of very promise. The one question is, Is there a really big advantage to a rotary valve engine?

Yep, if the rotary valve is a disc mounted to the crank you can fairly easily modify your intake and exhaust timing and you can have reeds break off of your rotary valve. Rotory valve engines are more expensive to produce but offer more precise intake and exhaust timing and quicker throttle response. Aren't most of todays two cycle engines of the piston port variety anyway?
