A lot has to do with how you maintain your vehicle.
+1. I see alot of people who break alot, and their whole car is horrible-suspension binding, shocks with NO oil in them, diffs leaking, bearings are shot, and break alot of stupid parts and when they arent breaking, they wonder why their car isnt as fast.
Im just curious what shock oil has to do with durability? All it does is make the vehicle handle better, and not rebound as bad. Honestly, my rustler has no shock oil in the front shocks. It blows the caps off, so what the point in fixing it? Especially since i havent noticed the first bit of difference in handling.
That was part of the maintence part. That is one of the reasons people dont do good even when their vehicle is running. But with shocks with no oil in them, it puts alot of stress on the car. Instead of a smoother ride, it is extremely bumpy.

Shock oil blows the caps off? [&:] Seems like some extremely low quality shocks. Time to upgrade to losi shocks!
