hey i have a redcat shockwave, swapped in the .18 engine, and now i can't get it to start to save my life!!! any suggestios?
to elaborate, i've tried factory tuning settings, engine is definatelt getting gas, glow plugs work. When i pull i see bubbles seeping through from under the glowplug which makes me think there is a compression issue.
Pull the glow plug and it's gasket, clean the gasket, clean the head and reinstall the plug with it's gasket. Snug it tight, but pull the threads out
You shouldn't have bubbles like that. And I personally prefer a spin-starter. I'd get one either from the LHS if that's who you're getting your redcat stuff from, or from Redcat or eBay. I have one of these, getting ready to sell it, because I like the Redcat 1/8 scale more.
