Default RE: Gas Engine for 1/4 Scale Balsa USA J-3 Cub

Wild Bill, That airplane is so neat to see in the air over the water. I keep looking at the Pat Trittle J-3 Cub I have, which is 1/6 scale and then looking at the monster on my floor. What a difference in size and weight.
As for those HD servos I provided a link to. They are digital metal gear servos with two ball bearings. I would think that they should do the job. Like I said, I don't plan on putting any more strain on this airframe than doing circuits in the sky.
I do have a question. I know this is the engine thread, but I am lucky to have some experts here to provide advice. The plans for this airplane call for me to mount the control horn on the aileron in one corner of the aileron. My experience is that putting it more in the center is better. The way the ribs are designed, I would have to drill out two more ribs to make holes for the servo wires, if I place the servo horn more to the center of the aileron. What do you think? Am I correct, or just being dumb? Caley
