I have found myself in need of a 42" data cable to go from the ECU to the turbine. Is this special wire or can I just go down and pick up a length of 6 wire phone cable? thanks for your help.

Standard 6 pin phone plug will work fine. Not sure if you can just buy a 4 ft length cable or not but I made my own and cut it to length. I just replaced the plug on my jetcat ecu and it works fine. It doesn't matter what color the wires are because when you slide the cable into the plug they automatically line up, just make sure the colored wires are on the same side of each plug.

Ron, no, be careful, I understand it is NOT wired the same way as telephone cable, Gary.
For our purposes it doesn't matter how its wired, only that the colored wires are in the same location on each plug.
