After thinking on this a little I have come up with a way to enclose the top and end of the exposed cannister. That should be plenty of heat blockage for the inside of the fuse. I wonder if the heat off of the can will mess with the covering in that small area. I am not sure exactly how hot it will get back there. It is roughly 24" back from the engine. There is a pretty good sized hole in the bottom of the fuse to let air pass through but it is not all the way back. Maybe I need to cut another one back there.
