Engine started right up after I figured out how to hold my finger over the muffler and spin the prop to prime the engine. Ran a tank of fuel out at full throttle varying the valve setting. Then put a little more in and taxied around my driveway to test it out. There was alot more fuel all over the plane than I expected. Does it get covered like that every time?

[color=#FF0099]Yes, it does....welcome to the joys of Glow fuel..

You can find entire threads on which spray cleaner or homemade mix to clean your plane with at the end of each day. Very important though since some coverings don't hold up well at the seams from the exhaust seepage. Now you can add paper towels and some sort of glass cleaner or simple green solution to your field kit.
I've been told that the "color" of the oil on your plane gives you insight to your engine and it's performance...I should probably look up a thread on that myself.
And welcome to the "addiction"!!!!!
