Hello everyone,
I have spent many hours to find my way around this RC Universe since I registered a few days ago.
I managed to read postings, handle the pictures viewing, I even posted three pictures.
I also exchanged PM with a couple of members.
I am now looking for the indication(s) that show if we have posted in a forum or specific part of a forum and in which thread we may have made a posting.
Also as we browse around what is telling us if a thread contains some pictures.
I have seen this "my forum" pages and do not understand its purpose else than perhaps to limit the access to RC Universe.
I regret that I could not find any help pages covering these subjects.
I found out that replying to a PM the original text has to be copied and pasted above the reply we are writing otherwise the original text is not there.
If anyone could help via this posting (I hope it works, this is my first trial at opening a thread) it would be greatly appreciated.
After that many hours of research this is the only way I think I may get some help.
Again thanks for any response.
Zor
If you go to your member profile, there is a section for "Recent Posts" or some such. This will let you find threads that you have participated in recently.
"My Forums" just lets you make a streamlined list of the subjects you are interested in. There are a ton of forums here that I would never go to, so "My Forums" lets me avoid scrolling through boats and monster trucks.
Folks here are really helpful. You should be able to get any help that you need.
Good luck
mclina,
Thank you very much.
I have no doubts about the friendliness of people here.
It is the software used that I do not find friendly as it does not appear to me to be easy to learn to use it.
I am also suspecting that what I am looking for is not part of this software. I am not receiving specific procedures. Like what you wrote about going to my profile.
I do not see anywhere a button, and icon, a tab that says "profile" or "your profile" or any hint along that line.
I suddenly remembered that perhaps it is in my account so I went there and found my profile (that is luck, not logic). Still I cannot find in there what you suggested about the last few postings. That is not what I am expecting anyway.
Ken sent me to the FAQ which does not cover my questions. I do not know how to write my questions better than I did. I am quite sure Ken understood what I am looking for.
I came to RC Universe having been told that there is a forum specifically for the build of the Great Planes Super Skybolt. I searched for it but did not find it. A search for Skybolt brought back mainly fellows at random talking about ARFs, not building.
I also did not find how to reverse the listing in the threads. I do not wish to scroll through dozens of postings to get to the recent ones.
Registering I also felt that perhaps I could help some fellows who are having problems.
Thanks again for your response.
