Mark flew really well. You could see him adjust his flying style as the contest progressed. He flew slow and close in the first couple rounds and adjusted to a slightly larger and faster style in the later rounds. He indicated that he's serious about F3A flying and I think that is great news.
The contest was really fun. The weather was absolutely perfect, you couldn't have had better flying conditions. Phoenix is almost always fantastic for flying this time of year. Hats off to Rusty and Robert and the SVF crew for putting on this stellar event.
Rusty wanted to have a separate, single round, unknown contest. Open to any of the competitors. As it turned out, he selected the IMAC Intermediate routine. It seems I was the only one to sign up for it and everyone else chickened out. Too bad, it would have been fun. We'll have to try it again sometime.
Steve,
The IMAC Intermediate would not have been an unknown for Rusty. LOL! We will be flying that sequence this Saturday at the San Diego EMAC. I will be flying my Passport, bring yours and join us!
