People autocross all sorts of cars.. it is a good way to learn car control at a lower speed.. people usually don't total their car at autoX.. (since you'd hit some cones, etc. but usually not the wall, unlike if you are at a race track..)
Here in CT you care not allowed to Autocross any truck. I thought SCCA had regulations.
