wsdepa,
Yeah, I would have to say that the bigggest improvement was the DD tail, and when you add the gryo to that, it really all comes together...
But, on the same token, I did a GWS DD tail, and the G110 gyro, and extra flybar weights, etc, everything I could think of to make it fly as smooth as this CPP2, but I could not achieve this level of flyability, and smoothness in flight.
Maybe I didn't have the mixing correct, or the GWS tail wasn't as responsive, or powerful, not really sure...it will be interesting to see how the guys that convert the CPP 1 to the new parts make out...and I might be one, since I have a CPP1 sitting right here...
But, that being said, there is still something about this setup that just makes it kinda magic for me, since this is what I was striving for all along with my original CPP, and it eluded me, no matter how hard I tried (yep, even with the DX6i, and multitude of different pitch and throttle curves, gyro settings, etc).
The guys at Eflite definitely did their homework on this one!
I keep thinking that it's the higher headspeed that is helping, but that should make it even more twitchy and responsive, but more stable...they managed to get a great combination of stability, and control at the same time...all I can say is it's night and day from the original, taking both right out of the box, and they kept the price the same in the process
