What we need is a big RC festival. Not one that's sponsored by companies with booths trying to sell stuff and make a promotional event out of the whole thing. I mean a basic but large gathering like the Burning Man Project, the difference being that people are allowed to use personal hygiene to be clean and it's for RC hobbyists. Rather than take place out in the desert, we'd just need a big field with moist dirt and varying terrain. And some electrical power for charging batteries and other uses. Something run by the people, not some businessman who will charge like $90 per entry and stick Pepsi sponsor banners everywhere. I figure a few of these can happen annually until such a business suit comes along and f***s it all up. We'd get a few years worth with this.
