Got a little further with the fun stuff, but man Saturday is fast approaching!

Added the the new turret emblem, did a lot more weathering on the damaged zimmermit areas, and added some light surface rust areas to the rear deck screens.

The emblems were shot in white metal primer, and then a black wash added, and the outside band painted red. I like it, I'm just not sure how much yet. I put them on with double stick just in case they don't grow on me. But I'm sure they will look a lot better once I weather them.

Each of the damaged zim areas got some more detail. I brush painted several red brown colors letting them mix directly on the tank. I wanted to give the hull red color some variation without too much uniformity. Once that was dry I took a very light gray paint and outlined some of the damages areas and created others where the zim has been damaged but not taken all the way back down to metal. The gray represents the actual color of the zim paste without paint on it.

Finally I used several red browns, orange and some golden yellow to dry brush the rear deck screens to replicate the effect of light surface rust starting.
