Just an FYI. If the servo travels are set up to where the surface comes up against a hard stop with servo travel remaining they can do that.

Not saying that's what happened here but it's something people should pay attention to with any type of ball link or clevis. With a clevis the ends just splay open until the pin releases or the pin breaks off.
