Did you use an o-ring when you installed the velocity stack? See here http://saito-engines.info/special_tricks.html . You probably did, but I've got to ask, did you route the crankcase vent to outside the cowl? Double check that all the screws are snug and not loose. Other than the suggestions w8ye gave, I can't think why such a young engine would be overly messy.
