RE: CX2 altitude problem?
maddog,
I think BAD400 has a good idea there. But I would ask you to do this simple test, new inner and shafts or not. Often guys use the blue motor heat sink. That heat sink if not put on properly pushs against the main shaft colume which then pushes the motors out towards the nose. When this happens the motors are off center and can be crammed into the the lower gears. Now even if you DONT have the heat sink give your heli this test. Hold the lower blade. Then with your finger slowly turn the upper blades and shaft 360 degrees about 3 times. You are looking for any resistance or binding. Once that step is done then do the same with the lower blade. This will be a little more difficult because the upper blade is in your way. Again your looking for any binding or resistance. If this test shows you nothing then I would even check the new battery. Charge it again and get a volt meter and see what you have. That 7.4 volt battery comes up to about 8.3 volts on a good charge. If that proves again to be all in spec then you might as BAD 400 said have a bad 3-1 controller. I have never seen two motors wear out at once.
A question or two, did this just happen? Are you using the stock CX2 charger? Have you been flying fine then one day with NO WARNING it just wont come up? Please provide more information please. A new controller is like $60.00 as I recall so lets really look at this before you sink some bucks in there.
