Well, I was more clowning around than serious there. I think the tank is original, and is evidence of the horrid abuse the engine was subjected to all its life. Then, when lugs finally couldn't take any more and got snapped off, the modeller kludged up a solution to the problem. With luck the reed valve forward is all good. I think I have a couple of PeeWee tanks and backplates in my collection of new parts.. I should check.
