From what I understand, with any stock adapter for any sim that also acts as a "hardware copy protection", that you have to return the broken adapter to get a replacement stock adapter. Because potentially anyone can make a copy of the discs and claim their adapter was lost or something.

I'm don't know whether you need a receipt or not as well to get the replacement, but that could be the case.
