Yup that's about right.
The plane unloads in the air dropping the draw a bit, but as you see you are indeed pushing the included batteries.
Like most manufacturers, you are supplied with what you need to get airborn, but not necessarily what is optimal.
Everyone tends to do this.
Higher capacity replacement packs are a good idea.
That plane has no problems with 1800 or 2100-2200 15-20C packs.
I've put 2200mAh 25/35burst packs on my EF2000 foamie.
I merely need to add a bit more up elevator on the nose.
I find that the 1800mAh gives me the best compromise between speed ( weight of battery affects this ) and run time ( more mAh is better ).
